1. About JSONin
JSONin is a browser-based JSON formatting and exploration tool operated by Teguh Suandi. This policy explains how JSONin handles information when you access or use the service.
2. Your JSON data
The JSON content you enter is processed locally inside your browser. JSONin does not intentionally transmit, upload, or store your JSON content on its servers. This applies whether you type, paste, or open a JSON file using the application.
- Files you open are read locally by your browser.
- Clipboard access occurs only after you select the copy action.
- Downloaded JSON files are generated locally by your browser.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to process any personal, confidential, or third-party information entered into JSONin.
3. Technical access data
Although JSON content stays in your browser, limited technical information may be processed when you access the website.
- IP address;
- date and time of access;
- requested page or resource;
- HTTP method and response status;
- browser or user-agent information;
- referring page, when provided by your browser; and
- security or diagnostic information related to failed requests.
This information is used only to operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the service.
4. Cookies and analytics
JSONin uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as page visits, device and browser categories, and general interaction patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process technical identifiers. JSON content entered into the editor is not intentionally sent to Google Analytics. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings.
5. Email communications
If you contact us by email, your email address, message, and related communication may be processed to respond to your request. Email communications may also be processed by the email service providers used by you and JSONin.
6. Sharing of information
JSONin does not sell personal data. Limited technical information may be processed by infrastructure providers that support the service. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the service, or investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
7. Data retention
JSON content entered into the application is not retained by JSONin servers. Technical access logs are generally retained for up to 30 days and may be deleted earlier through log rotation. Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for a security investigation or legal obligation. Email communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, or resolve disputes.
8. Data security
JSONin uses reasonable technical measures intended to protect the service, including HTTPS encryption and restricted server access. No internet service or security measure can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about personal data associated with you that is held by JSONin, and request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Because JSON content is processed locally and is not stored by JSONin, we generally cannot access or recover JSON content from your browser.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the service, infrastructure, or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are published.
